Hacks is a departure from the typical action-superhero show Mark tends to peddle, featuring an aging comic and a young writer forming (ominous music) a dark mentorship! Jean Smart plays the lead in Hacks and turns up again supporting Kate Winslet as we debate Mare of Easttown. These shows and a little Jean Claude Van Damme/Karate Kid nostalgia to boot.
